…in a nutshell

Hallo! I’m Lis, I work in the arts community, am an arts correspondent for Glasgow PodcART, and a photographer. In addition to all that, if I can find time in my busy schedule to write poetry, then I do that, too.

I moved to Glasgow from a sleepy town in the Midwest US back in 2003.   After 8 years on this side of the pond, I am by no means an expert, but it was an adventure I wanted, along with the experience of adapting to a new culture.  Well, I got what I wanted!

If there’s more you want to know about me, you can follow me on various other social networking sites (see the ‘…online‘ page); or you can just leave a comment and I’ll reply eventually (I’m pretty crap at replying right away but I will get back to you).

Thanks for visiting, hope to see you again soon.

RE: the quotes in the header…I don’t make them up; I would never take credit for that. But in case you’re wondering:

  • Sweets, you couldn’t ignore me if you tried‘ – The Breakfast Club
  • That fake British chick is a real bitch, but she sure can dance‘ – Friends
  • We shall strike a balance between culture and fun‘ – In Bruges
